Some of you have this blog for my Christmas trees. This year I have make a blog just for my trees. It doesn't have family pictures or much personal information on it. I have shared it on facebook and for some reason didn't feel real comfortable sharing all our personal stuff.

Instead of re posting all the trees on this blog, I will connect you to the other blog.

2009 has started

The holiday season has begun in earnest. Doug has already cut out Christmas ornaments and I have already decorated my first baby tree for one of my new "grand" babies. (I would have two but the other decorations are still packed away in the garage.

I think Doug my have about 8 or 10 of the sixty plus ornaments already cut out. The wood is so pretty this year that I just want to stain these naturally.

Christmas cards are started by not finished. I know. I know. I usually do Christmas cards on the fourth of July but this year I was playing with a grand son. Labor day I will be playing with a grand son again. So I am trying to catch Sunday afternoons to do cards.

I have however started wrapping gifts. I made boxes for the babies Advent presents this year. I think they are too young to appreciate their own tree. So I made boxes with Santas on them to get the presents out of. Jeremiah says that I don't need presents. Ian will just play with the box. I knew that. He is a natural baby. Go figure.

Well, I plan to have 30 trees for our house. I will decorate a huge tree for the Lil Bit of Christmas at the university and I will decorate the tree at the store. After Christmas I plan... plan to have a picture of all of them on the blog to look at til next year. I keep a list of what trees go where in the house and try to change some of them up every year. Some are old staples. I will not put out my cotton this year because I put it on a tree last year. I think I will use my blue stuff from the big tree last year at the Convo center for this year. If mamas have lil juniors picture taken with Santa every year at least this tree will look a lot different from last year when I had gingerbread toys and red and green ornaments on in.

Until later,

I am still dreaming of the time

when all the trees are decorated

and guest come walking through the door.

Mark and Brittany's wedding pictures

The happy couple leave the church surrounded by well wishers and tiny bubbles!

The three tiered cake was strawberry on bottom. White cake filled the middle. I guess the happy couple can tell us next year what was in the top layer.

The bride and groom did so much visiting they just got to sit at the table long enough to get a picture.

Byron's last $5.

Sorry gang, that this in on my Christmas Blog but I thought this would be the easiest way for you to pull up the pictures on the web without much trouble. Hope you enjoy them. If you were there, Mark and Brittany had a very pretty wedding, as you well know. If you missed the wedding, hope you enjoy the pictures. Lee Ann took these and I think she did a great job as photographer as well as mother of the groom, don't you?

Happy looking,

As you can see, this tree was a little contemporary. Doug was NOT a fan of this one. I wish I had a picture where the lights were twinkling, bur, a photographer I am not.
This tree probably got as many comments as all the rest of my trees put together last year. I lived it. I was really hoping for a granddaughter with all that pink, but, alas, I have 2 grandsons to spoil this year. Mama's and Daddy's had better watch out 'cause here comes Nana and Papaw. Oh, yeah, let's not forget Aunt Kari and Uncle Blake. It is gonna be sooooo much fun this year. Yea!!!!
Well, this will be the last blog from last year. Now it is time to start planning for 2009. Until I post for this year, I will be dreaming of that white Christmas.

The reason for the season is Jesus Christ. He was born, walked this earth and died, all for our sins. Every year there has to be some kind of tree with crosses and angels. This year I combined the two. Striking contrast? Not really. This tree is for me every year. My reminder of why I love the holiday season.

One of the ole faithful trees I have done before, but everyone seemed to love was the cotton tree. This year I put my cotton,(thanks to a couple of my farmer friends) on a smaller fiber optic tree alongside my baby trees. People still like the cotton and it is still a favorite. Living in cotton country doesn't hurt, though.

Our big tree this year was snowmen. Doug cut out and made nearly 100 snowmen for all our friends and family. I tried to do a lot of wrapping paper with snowmen and snowflakes, but as usual, but the end of the buying season, I just grabbed sacks. Oh, well.
